I got a bit obsessed with taking pictures of Everett's various body parts because I knew they would grow and change so quickly. I spent a lot of time staring at him and getting to know all his features, which was so special and sweet. It brought me to (good) tears many times. He has a little dot of extra cartilege near his left ear, a brown birthmark on his right knee, tiny eyelashes that will probably grow to be as thick and fantastic as his brother's, a wee mullett, a small swirl of hair front and center on his forehead, big eyes, wispy eyebrows, long fingers with rapidly-growing nails (I trimmed them in the hospital) and a cheek dimple to the right of his right nostril that can be seen when he smiles in his sleep (he has that Logan smile). After the first night Scott slept at home so E and I had a lot of one-on-one time. I am so grateful for those early days of bonding with my baby boy. Above is his tiny foot with the security tag. He'd be a good one to steal so I'm glad they had that on there!
Below, big flat feet and legs that rarely straighten out.
The best way to burp, in my opinion. Everett is a very good, quick, and loud burper!
Selwyn got to hold his little brother again. We also had visits from Jeff, Meg, Finley, Sally, Becky, Suzanne, and Grampa Mac.
