A few more random shots from Week 4

I snapped these pics because the pose is so darned cute, and I'm sure it won't be comfy for much longer.

Sunday, May 8, 2011: Mother's Day

It's a bit small, but above is a four-generation photo with
Grammie Mac, Great Grammie Poulin, Mom, and Everett
The boys put on a wonderful Mother's Day for me!  First thing in the morning they prepared breakfast "in bed" (ended up being on the couch so Mom could feed Everett), which was a delicious southwestern omelette, home fries, fresh fruit, wheat toast with grape jelly, a Dunkin Donuts coffee, and a nice red rose, all on a tray.  It was absolutely fantastic, and I was completely surprised!  After that, I received really thoughtful cards from Selwyn and Everett (my, what eloquent writers they are!), a wonderful little silver family of four pendant and necklace, and Scott paid to have an amethyst (Selwyn's birth stone) added to my mother and child necklace (it already has a diamond for April, by coincidence).

After that, Scott and Selwyn went to Kennebunk to till Grandma KT's garden, while I stayed home and cleaned the house for a bit.  Following cleaning, Everett and I went to Grammie Mac's house and saw Great Grammie Poulin ("GG") and Great-Great Aunt Gloria.  Everyone was smitten with Everett.

Later that afternoon we got ice cream at Lib's (my request) and rounded out the weekend with a trip to Wal-Mart for some extremely important items, such as bubble bath.  :)

Thanks for making me a mom, Selwyn, and thanks for enriching the experience, Everett!

Saturday, May 7, 2011: May Day Festivities in Kennebunk

Mom was really looking forward to the May Day festivities in Kennebunk.  Unfortunately, Selwyn was in the mood to "be two" so he was mostly only happy when he had some sort of unhealthy snack such as a cookie, popcorn, or a lollipop.  Fortunately, the day turned around when a very nice Kennebunk fireman allowed Selwyn and Mom to sit in the driver's seat of a huge firetruck (which was actually running!).  Later on, Selwyn and Dad threw rocks into the ocean.  Selwyn was a little overzealous and ended up IN the ocean; oh, well--he rode home in a dry diaper and was covered up by little brother's fleece blanket. :)

May 5, 2011: Everett meets Katie and Taleb (and sees Taleb's mom, Kristy, for the second time) and Visits His First Bar

Mom took Everett to his first bar, Federal Jacks in Kennebunk.  It was fitting because Fed's is where Mom and Dad had their first date!

Sunday and Monday, May 1st and 2nd

Everett wasn't very good at tossing bread to the ducks at Evergreen Cemetery, but that was no big deal because there were only about four ducks there, and they weren't hungry at all!
So we went to the playground at Payson Park instead.

Saturday, April 30, 2011: Smiling Hill Farm Barnyard and Nap Time

We bought a season pass to the Smiling Hill Farm barnyard, so we plan to visit it often this summer. Look how cute this calf is!

Everett and Mom took a wonderful nap while Selwyn napped upstairs.  Dad took these candid shots. :)

Easter Sunday 2011

We had a wonderful and busy Easter Sunday.  In the morning Selwyn received his basket from the Easter Bunny, and Grammie Mac, Grampa Mac, Aunt Abbie, and Sebastian came over for an egg hunt in the yard.  Mom stayed inside to feed Everett, but peeked out the front door as the boys were racing around to the back yard to find more eggs.  Around lunch time, Aunt Deirdre, Uncle Adam, Ben, Lila, and Grandma KT came over for a delicious ham dinner with all the fixings prepared by Grandma.  Selwyn took a nice long nap from about 1-3:30 while the rest of us ate.

Selwyn decided he's not a fan of Peeps, which is fine by Mom because she loves them and ate them all.
Selwyn's Cadbury Cream Egg was also consumed by Mom...  She did not, however, eat the peanut butter bunny (below).

Egg hunt in the yard.  Grammie Mac and Daddy helped Selwyn find his eggs.

Cousin Sebastian enjoyed the hunt as well.

The Easter Bunny really knows Selwyn well as one of his eggs had a neat little pair of white gloves.  Selwyn loves gloves of all shapes, sizes, and colors!

Sebastian is a huge fan of baby Everett!
Boy, does Everett look tiny in Grampa Mac's arms!
