When it's so hot out you don't feel like actually going anywhere, head to the front yard! Dad set up a wonderful little water play area with pool, umbrella and chairs, and Mom and Selwyn picked out various sizes of containers to play with in the pool. Selwyn had a blast with the containers and a pail and shovel, and he enjoyed pretending to fall in the water and jumping in as well. Mom and Dad enjoyed some beers!
After an hour and a half in the pool, Selwyn moved on to the sprinkler, which was also a hit.

Sunday, July 17, 2011: Clam Festival Blueberry Pancake Breakfast and Other Fun Stuff
Everett playing on his mat with his monkey before we headed out to the Clam Festival. Three months old!
Selwyn snarfed down a large pancake and a half, as well as several bites of sausage and some OJ.
Dad and I enjoyed our pancakes as well. Everett looked longingly at everyone else's breakfasts...
Dad and Selwyn caught the end of the bicycle race. Selwyn loved seeing all those helmets!
Dad and Selwyn played with Selwyn's yard sale superball under the nice, shady tent while Everett wiggled on the ground with Mom.
Selwyn decided he was too shy for a photo opportunity with the clams...

Saturday, July 16, 2011: Mom's 15th High School Reunion and More Clam Festival
Reunion at Gritty's in Freeport. Selwyn had a great time on the swingset and in the crooked house.
Selwyn picked me wildflowers!
The progression of photos of the motorcycle ride is hillarious. Just watch how Selwyn's gears are turning and how his expression changes as the ride goes on. Love it!
Looking not so sure about this ride.
Getting serious.
Tongue is out while concentrating.
Hey, this is kind of fun!
I've got this thing LICKED!
Waiting for fries with ketchup poised and ready in the stroller tray.
These look yummy.
And they ARE yummy!
Friday, July 15, 2011: Clam Festival Parade
One of my favorite activities of the year is the Clam Festival parade in Yarmouth. It brings back such fantastic memories of my childhood, and I am so happy and grateful to share the experience with my children and husband. This year daddy was able to join us! Just like last year, Selwyn had a FANTASTIC time, sharing that the "big fire truck" (it had monster truck wheels) and the police cars were his favorite sites. Everett played in his stroller, then slept in the Ergo, then caught the tail end of the parade while being held by Grammie Mac. Grammie and Grampa Mac, Aunt Abbie, Sebastian, and Great Aunt Alison joined us. I'm so glad to make this a Logan family tradition!
Above, Selwyn patiently waited for the beginning of the parade, even though the sun was in our eyes!
Sort of a family photo; Everett is there in the stroller.
The Shriner cars and trucks were neat, but a little too loud.
Everett joined us, looking a little dazed. He was having one of his serious days.
Selwyn borrowed Aunt Abbie's cool shades for the last few minutes of the parade.
Above is Selwyn's favorite attraction.
