We went to Scott's cousin, Caroline's, wedding at the Sugarbush ski resort in Vermont the weekend that Hurricane Irene hit the area. Fortunately, Caroline's wedding day was beautiful. Above is a family photo right before we headed out for the ceremony on Saturday.
Selwyn did a wonderful job riding for 4.5 hours in the car. After we settled in to our condo, Mom, Dad and Selwyn grabbed a bite to eat at the nearby pub. Selwyn was very excited for the french fries.
After eating, Selwyn enjoyed some solid swinging time with Dad and his cousin, Ben.
Above, Everett relaxed on the living room floor and rolled around quite a bit. Below is our family photo before we went to the rehearsal dinner. Mom and Dad thought the food was tasty. Selwyn enjoyed bread only. :-P
Here we are at the rehearsal dinner. Above, Selwyn met his first cousin, once removed, Daniel (Tim and Erin Logan's son).
Everett hung out patiently while Selwyn got to know Daniel.
The next morning Selwyn got to swing, play baseball, and go swimming with Ben.
Another family photo before heading out for the wedding. The boys wore matching outfits: pink striped shirts and khaki shorts. I figure I should dress them alike while they can not protest yet and while they still make the same outfit in both of their sizes.
Above, Selwyn met another second cousin (Ben Logan's son).
There were lots of lawn toys for the kids to play with before the ceremony, which was fortunate because it was a liiiiiiittle bit late to begin--like at least 40 minutes...
Everett was very chill in his stroller for a really long time.
Dad showed Selwyn how to toss a frisbee.
Selwyn's GQ shot. Everett's darling smiling face.
They also had parasols for the guests to shade them from the sun. Selwyn got a kick out of these "umbrellas."
Selwyn was very quiet and still for the beginning of the ceremony as he looked out for his cousin, Lila, who was one of the two flower girls.
Above, Lila is on the left. Below, Everett after his costume change. Selwyn changed into short-sleeves, too, then proceeded to be stung by TWO bees! Thank goodness it turns out he is not allergic to bee stings! The highlight of the day was when Selwyn was allowed to get on the shuttle bus, which was actually a school bus. Miss Theresa let him sit in the driver's seat and move the steering wheel and everything. He thought it was VERY cool.
Tossing rocks into the river that ran right next to the ceremony location. It was a beautiful setting for a wedding!
