Sunday, June 5, 2011: Catching frogs at Pineland and digging at East End Beach

 Showing Mom the catch!  Mom was most pleased that Selwyn did not fall in the pond this time!

 Below, we got a good glimpse of the tadpole/frog metamorphosis.  I'd actually never seen that up close and in person before--very cool!

 After the frogs were released back to their families, we had a snack picnic of sugared pita chips.  Yum!

 After nap we took a trip to the East End Beach and the East End School playground.  Selwyn enjoyed digging with his "new" (yard sale) shovel.

Saturday, June 4, 2011: Bowdoin Reunion

Each year we enjoy swinging by Bowdoin's reunion weekend activities.  This year Selwyn ejoyed a swim in the pool (we kind of ignored the "must be potty trained" rule--of course he was in a swim diaper!).  Everett enjoyed a snooze on the pool deck!

 

 We may have a water polo player on our hands because Selwyn enjoys swimming AND basketball!

 After the swim we attempted to enjoy the bouncy castles set up on the quad.  Scott waited in line twice with Selwyn, who chickened out both times.  After a bit of a tantrum, Selwyn finally decided the bouncy castles would be fun and jumped in.  He, of course, had a great time at that point!

 Finally, we enjoyed a peanut butter and jelly sandwich picnic on the mall downtown.  Selwyn watched some big boys play "500".  He really wanted to play, too!

 Mom had Selwyn and Everett by herself for a large chunk of the day, so we made our way to Yarmouth to hang out with Aunt Abbie and Sebastian.  We caught the brief, but nice parade.  Mom's old band teacher almost stepped on poor Everett!

 After the parade we hung out at Sebastian's friend's house.  The friend lives just down the street from Grammie and Grampa Mac.  The boys enjoyed blowing bubbles and drinking Capri Sun.  Everett slept.

May 29, 2011: Visiting with the Logan cousins in Kennebunk again!

 We lucked out with nice weather on the Sunday before Memorial Day.  As such, we enjoyed a good chunk of the day at Kennebunk Beach with the Logan cousins.  Dad and Selwyn went hunting for crabs and other critters in the tide pools.

                                    Mom and Everett walked up and down the beach for awhile.

 Selwyn had some success in the tide pools, and he enjoyed showing the crabs to his cousins and Aunt Deirdre.

                   Everett enjoyed some tummy time with Sophie on Grandma KT's back porch.
